CUSTOMERS POUR INTO NEW HIGH STREET BUSINESS

Nicola Brooksbank The Painted Teapot
Company Name: The Painted Teapot
Company Contact: Nicola Brooksbank

A Kirkcaldy business has managed to create something parents have often thought impossible - a place where they can relax while the kids are kept entertained!

Opened last October by Nicola Brooksbank, after she gained help from Business Gateway Fife and funding from Fife Council’s Town Centre Business Support Fund in the form of a Business Improvement Grant, The Painted Teapot has quickly become a haven for local parents and a must visit for their kids.

Situated at 263 High Street, the family art hub offers a ceramic studio, tearoom - where the focus is on homemade products, soft toy craft area and a sensory play area.

Opened seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., www.paintedteapot.com is also proving popular with locals of all ages who find painting therapeutic and received additional support from the Create in Fife Fund to develop its art offering.

Nicola said: “Business Gateway’s advice and one-to-one help from my adviser Celia Sinclair, has been fantastic. The financial support has helped me create an eye catching shop front which makes us highly visible on the High Street; and we hope to have tables and chairs outside when the weather improves.”

Celia Sinclair, Business Gateway Fife Adviser said: “The business is a very welcome addition to the town and its immediate success proves the High Street is a fantastic location where businesses can thrive.”
