Launched in August 2014 by Aaron Andrews and Ross Syme, with support from Business Gateway Fife, Kirkcaldy based ARRO (www.arrolightingandevents.co.uk) provides creative illumination options for every type of event, from weddings, music festivals, award ceremonies and intimate gatherings to large scale city centre Christmas installations.
“With 19 years of knowledge and experience in the lighting industry, we like to think we know a thing or two about how to make people feel connected, excited, passionate and happy through effective use of lighting,” said Aaron.
“Starting and growing a business can be challenging but we have had great support from Business Gateway Fife. Our adviser, Lynne Baillie, understood exactly what we wanted to do with ARRO and helped us obtain specialist support through the Expert Help Programme, to develop our business plan.
“We also received marketing advice, mentoring support through Fife Chamber of Commerce and financial help from Fife Council’s Fife Investment Fund, which allowed us to set up the office and purchase much needed equipment.”
Ross added: “Although festive lighting will be a key area for us moving forward we are constantly researching, evaluating and identifying new niches, innovations and industry improvements to ensure we offer the brightest solution no matter what project or sector we are working in."
