Tired of her permanently dry complexion, Lesley began producing 100% natural skincare products in her spare time and friends were so impressed that she launched new venture, Willow and Plum (www.willowandplumsoapco.co.uk) with support from Business Gateway Fife.

I approached them last summer with a business plan and met with Charles, my Business Adviser, who helped channel my ideas and assisted with applying to Fife Council’s Create in Fife Fund, which covered my start-up costs. Charles is continuing to support me as I develop and I recently met with him to discuss my plans to take on premises.”
Willow and Plum sells a range of eco-friendly soaps, lip balms and bath bombs. Items can be purchased online or in various stores in Fife and Edinburgh.
“The best sellers are the peppermint and nettle soaps and the ‘dug scrub soap bar’ is also proving really popular, it caught the attention of a dog groomer down south who’s using it on all his canine clients,” said Lesley.
