Fife council has launched a new initiative to support youth enterprise and employability, by providing access to key information which can help pupils and school leavers discover the right career path and gain the right enterprise skills they require to get into work. The campaign, entitled “Your Future’s Unlimited – Just Go For It,” was unveiled yesterday (Tuesday 1st October) by Kenneth Greer, Fife Council’s Executive Director for Education, at an event at the new Auchmuty High School in Glenrothes.
Aimed at young people, their parents and carers, Your Future’s Unlimited communicates the extensive range of opportunities which exist in Fife and beyond from apprenticeships to further education and from finding work to setting up in business.
Your Future’s Unlimited will embark on a road show throughout Fife’s high schools and other public access areas, together with a booklet showing what information and support is available, a dedicated website with all the relevant links and a social media campaign to inspire and support young people into work.
Launching the initiative, Kenneth Greer, explained “Our main goal within the Education is to help every young person to maximise his or her potential. Your Future’s Unlimited is designed to help pupils and school leavers make informed choices and the approach helps to focus our learners on increasing their educational achievements and therefore their opportunities. This is a great example of a joined-up education, enterprise and employability initiative”
