New Chair of the Board for Business Gateway Fife

The Board of Business Gateway Fife has welcomed the appointment of Mark Jones as its new Chair following the stepping down of Mark Cameron.
 
Mark has already spent several years as vice-chair of the Board and brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has spent the last 12 years in the Construction sector following several years in Senior Management within the Retail Sector. He is currently Executive Director of KDM Shopfitting Limited, KDMUK Limited and IJM Consultancy Limited, all based in Dalgety Bay as well as Company Secretary at KDM Enterprises Limited and KDM Shopfitting Limited.
 
Joining Mark on the Board is Sam Fernandez, Sales Director of outdoor clothing manufacturer, Keela, based in Glenrothes.  Commenting on the appointments, Mark said:
 
“I very much look forward to developing the role as Chair of Business Gateway Fife’s Board.  It is an honour to work with such a proactive group of professionals, whose main aim is to see start up and growing businesses sustain and prosper.  We are working through the most challenging times just now and our dedicated team is working hard to support and assist businesses through a difficult period.
 
“Sam Fernandez is a very welcome addition to the Board with her knowledge and experience in Manufacturing.  She has also successfully adapted and diversified Keela’s business model during the pandemic and will bring a fresh perspective to the Board.
 
“I would also like to thank Mark Cameron for his great support, enthusiasm and direction during his time as Chair and wish him well with his new projects and ventures in the future.”
 
The other Board Members are Lisa Bray, Eden Fyfe (vice-chair), Councillor Altany Craik, Convenor for Fife Council’s Economy, Tourism, Strategic Planning and Transportation Committee and Gordon Mole, Fife Council.
