Vicki, who set up her business in June of this year, has recently been granted funding from Business Gateway Fife through their Create in Fife Fund to enable her to purchase specialist graphic design software. This has enabled her to serve local and global customers from her home- office in Cupar, Fife.

Growing the family business by entering new markets is the aim of two brothers who recently took over the reins to their Fife-based family firm set up by their father 26 years ago. Furniture maker Frazer Reid has launched unique one-to-one surfboard making workshops that will allow others to make their own boards out of wood.

The idea for the hands-on seminars arose after the 22-year-old, from Crail, received enquiries from surfers looking to combine their love of surfing with Frazer’s passion for wood work.

Practising what she preaches has helped Lisa Proudfoot set up her own business, offering one-to-one counselling and holistic therapy sessions, whilst still working for NHS Fife.

The 31-year-old, from East Wemyss, launched Levenmouth Counselling Service and Lisa's Holistic Therapies in Buckhaven last month after spending four years training as a counsellor and qualifying in Reiki and Indian head.
