DUNDEE BERRY TRANSFORMED INTO DELICIOUS ICE-CREAM

Tayberries, grown and picked in Fife, are being transformed into a delicious, seasonal ice-cream.
 
The berries, which are a cross between a raspberry and a bramble, have been grown at the family-run Pittormie Fruit Farm in Dairsie.  The ice-cream, which has been developed and created by Jannettas Gelateria in St Andrews, is thought to be the only one commercially available in Scotland and will be sold within Pittormie Fruit Farm’s shop and Jannettas itself.

Fife vintage specialist’s 10th birthday present – 5th Hollywood deal in 4 years

Fife vintage furniture specialist Scaramanga is proving to be Lord of the Hollywood props jungle after swinging a supply role on their fifth Tinseltown blockbuster in four years.

St Andrews Family Business Launches Memorial Scholarship

A St Andrews family, whose business has been operating in the town since 1908, is giving back to its local school in the form of an annual memorial Scholarship.

Nicola and Owen Hazel of Jannettas Gelateria are launching the ‘Fiona De Angelis (nee Jannetta) Academic Scholarship’ which will provide financial support to a Madras College student who is advancing their development and career by embarking on further education.

Royal Highland Show delivers outstanding event in its 176th year

Over 187,000 visitors flocked to the Royal Highland Show over the last four days - with Friday playing host to 47,990 exhibitors, farmers, food producers and business owners, as well as the general public, who were digesting the results of the Brexit vote.

The historic announcement failed to engulf Scotland's biggest celebration of farming, food and rural life, which saw 7000 of the UK's finest livestock compete for £225,000 of prize money and 280 trophies worth around £2,000,000.

Lynda Hamilton, who also runs her own PR consultancy, is a finalist in the Mumandworking Awards 2016, which celebrate parents and flexible working.

She has been nominated as Working Parent Blogger of the Year after launching Scotland B2B (East Coast Edition), an online business magazine, news community and resource for start-ups, entrepreneurs and SMEs based or trading in the east of Scotland.
