New Campaign to Boost Self-Employment in Fife

Business Gateway Fife, on behalf of Fife Council Economic Development, is launching a new Be Your Own Boss campaign, starting with a roadshow that will take place across Fife, throughout March.
 
Delivered through workshop sessions, the Be Your Own Boss initiative will assist those who are thinking about self-employment or establishing their own business, however big or small, to turn their ideas into reality.

Elaine Cromwell, based at their Dunfermline office, has been promoted to the position of Partner. Elaine started with Thomson Cooper in 1990 as a trainee accountant, qualifying as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996. Fife company, Planys Cloud shortlisted for HSBC Scottish Export Awards

Fife company Planys Cloud has been shortlisted for the 2016 HSBC Scottish Export Awards. The Awards, which are run in association with Scottish Enterprise, will be held at the Glasgow Hilton on 23rd of March.
 
The Dunfermline-based technology company exports Applications for Web and Mobile to the oil and gas sector in the United States and Singapore.

WordPress Sites Being Targeted By Cyber Criminals

Wordpress sites are currently being compromised by a virus and so far thousands of websites have been infected. The bad news is that a simple patch alone will not fix it.

The virus redirects wordpress website users to another site which eventually exposes them to the Neclear Exploit Kit - malware that then delivers randsomware.

The virus is designed so that even if you change your password, the malware will still have access.
