A Kirkcaldy business has managed to create something parents have often thought impossible - a place where they can relax while the kids are kept entertained!

Opened last October by Nicola Brooksbank, after she gained help from Business Gateway Fife and funding from Fife Council’s Town Centre Business Support Fund in the form of a Business Improvement Grant, The Painted Teapot has quickly become a haven for local parents and a must visit for their kids.

BUSINESS GATEWAY HELPS FIFE COMPOSERS HIT THE RIGHT NOTES GLOBALLY

Two Fife composers are celebrating after securing deals to supply the Coalition for Equal Marriage and an American TV show with their music.

Craig Sutherland and Andrew McDonald of Megalith Music have seen their work go global after scoring music for the Coalition for Equal Marriage’s recent campaign ‘Home Coming’, which has had nearly 750,000 views on YouTube. Their music has also been used in Richard Branson’s own film made in support of the gay rights organisation.

Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre Ltd is Scotland’s leading puppet company who tour extensively across the UK and overseas.

Their puppet animation performances are enjoyed by schools, theatres, festivals, and village halls with each show adapted to suit the different audience and venue.

Dunfermline business is picture perfect

Joint winner of the Carnegie UK Trust TestTown 2013 Competition, Emma Pauley, is continuing to establish her innovative high street craft centre with support from the community and assistance from Business Gateway Fife.

Emma is passionate about encouraging local artistic talent and currently supports 50 local businesses by selling their hand crafted products and art works in her Dunfermline craft centre. Here she also hosts a regular programme of events aimed at the creative children and adults of the town.
